What is the Florida Energy Saver Program?

Floridians are interested in how they can save energy and cut costs now more than ever. To meet this growing need, the Florida Energy Saver Program will assist Floridians in reducing their energy costs and improving home comfort through qualified energy efficiency upgrades. With the support of approximately $346 million in federal funding, Florida aims to provide two rebate programs through a single application process to maximize benefits to Floridian households. Through this program, participants will receive the rebate in the form of a discount on the eligible products and installation completed by a qualified contractor. Learn more about each rebate program below.

Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) Program

The HOMES program provides single-family and multifamily households with discounts for efficiency upgrades that are predicted to save at least 20% of the home’s energy use. HOMES offers rebates for energy-saving home improvements, including insulation and efficient heating/cooling equipment.

High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate (HEEHR) Program

The HEEHR program is exclusively for low- and moderate-income households (less than 150% Area Median Income) to purchase high-efficiency equipment. HEEHR will provide rebates to households installing heat pumps and other efficient, electric equipment.

Applications are expected to open in the future. If you are interested in participating, please register and complete the information in your Profile section. We will send you an email when the application is open!
